CLOSED – Town of Trenton – Full Time Firefighter/EMT
This position will consist of a work schedule of a 20 hr/20 hr weekly average split between the Town of Trenton (Fire Department) and the County of Hancock (Bar Harbor Airport). The split may be adjusted to accommodate emergency calls, trainings and meetings. This is a 40 hour a week position. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Maine driver’s license, EVOC certification, be familiar with all rescue equipment, maintain an EMS license, participates in drills and attends classes on firefighting, fire prevention, rescue, medical care, equipment maintenance and related subjects, perform maintenance work on fire station(s) at the Airport and the Trenton Fire Stations, maintain equipment, in addition to other duties outlined in the job description. This candidate must be a graduate of high school or its equivalent, graduated from an accredited basic fire academy earning certification from the State of Maine as a Fire Fighter/ FFI-FFII or equivalent.
