FF Josh George
Josh has been with Trenton Fire for about 7 years now, joining in 2009.
He grew up in Orland, where he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, and attended Bucksport High School. Josh became a Jr Firefighter when he was in High School along with his twin brother, and when he was 18, had the opportunity to go to the Hancock County Fire Academy where he graduated with his Firefighter 1 and 2 certification.
After that he joined the Orland Volunteer Fire Department and also earned his Basic EMT certification.
He still lives in Orland but commutes daily to his full time day job at The Hancock County/Bar Harbor Airport where he works as an ARFF (Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting), helping to keep all passengers who fly into the airport safe. While working at the Airport, Josh is able to respond to calls in Trenton during the day time hours, when member response is challenging. He says he's grateful for being able to learn more about firefighting here in Trenton, as well as sharing his day job information with TVFD.
